West Midlands Police confirmed that Omar Majed, from Washwood Heath, Birmingham, has been charged with false communications and is scheduled to appear before city magistrates on Monday. The Utilita Arena was evacuated and the comedian was escorted off stage during his performance on Friday night, following a report of a suspicious bag in the venue.
