The young victim was killed early on Thursday in Kyiv’s Podilskyi district. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported via Telegram that rocket fragments struck a 16-story building, subsequently igniting a fire in a nearby residential structure. Rescue teams are actively working, having already successfully extracted another child and their mother from the debris in Podilskyi.
Widespread Damage Across Kyiv
The assault also impacted Kyiv’s Obolonsky district, where falling rocket debris sparked a significant blaze in a non-residential building. Mayor Klitschko further noted that **”Cars are also on fire,”** indicating the broad scope of the destruction. Authorities continue to assess the full extent of the damage and provide aid to those affected.
