US Vice-President Vance: Iran Declined Our Terms in Peace Negotiations

US-Iran Peace Talks Conclude Without Agreement

Islamabad, Pakistan – Lengthy peace negotiations between the United States and Iran have concluded without a breakthrough, Vice-President JD Vance announced today. The talks, held in Islamabad during a temporary ceasefire, failed to yield an agreement between the two nations.

Vice-President Vance stated that the US delegation “could not get to a situation where the Iranians were willing to accept our terms.” He emphasized that a “core goal” for the United States, specifically halting Iran’s nuclear capabilities, was not achieved during the discussions.

Meanwhile, Iran’s foreign ministry described the talks as “intensive.” In a statement, the ministry urged Washington to refrain from “excessive demands and unlawful requests,” indicating a divergence in expectations and proposals.

The failure to reach an agreement marks a significant moment in the ongoing diplomatic efforts to address tensions between the US and Iran.
