Woman Completes Five Marathons in Five Days for Charity

Incredible Endurance for a Noble Cause

A woman from Helston has completed an extraordinary feat, running five marathons in five days to raise vital funds for a charity dedicated to improving the mental health of young women.

Tegan Pryce’s Marathon Challenge

Tegan Pryce, a physical trainer, embarked on her challenging 130-mile (209km) journey by participating in the London Marathon on Sunday. She not only completed it but also achieved a personal best time of three hours and 27 minutes. Following this impressive start, Pryce continued to run a marathon every day until Thursday, including routes from Exeter to Exmouth and another from Marazion to Mousehole.

Supporting Georgia’s Voice

Pryce is fundraising for Cornwall-based Georgia’s Voice, a charity she commends for its “great work in preventing suicide in young women aged between 18 and 25.” Her dedication highlights the critical importance of mental health support for this demographic.

Reflections on the Journey

Reflecting on her experience, Pryce described the London Marathon as “good,” praising the “amazing” crowds despite the unexpected heat. She noted that her legs were “very, very sore” after London, but the weather for the second marathon was pleasant. However, by Tuesday, the physical toll became significant. “Tuesday was really tough, my body started to really hurt,” she shared. Upon completing her fifth consecutive marathon, a well-deserved rest was clearly on her mind, as she joked about “probably be lying down until Monday.”
