However, an analysis by BBC Verify, referencing a previous 2025 Lady Gaga concert on Copacabana beach, suggested that such crowd figures might be overstated. The ‘Todo Mundo no Rio’ mega-concert was financed by the city with the aim of boosting the local economy. Officials estimated that the event would contribute around R$800 million (£118 million) to Brazil’s economy.
