Woollen was sentenced on Thursday after a trial of facts hearing at Hull Crown Court last year. A judge had previously ruled that he was not fit to plead<\/b> on serious charges, which included attempted murder, criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon, and a lock knife.<\/p>\n

Jurors were informed that Woollen had maintained a friendship with the family residing in the attacked house for several years. The incident occurred on the night of October 7, when the homeowners were abruptly awakened around 22:40 BST by the distinct sound of breaking glass.<\/p>\n
