Iran has voiced strong condemnation following YouTube’s decision to ban a pro-Iranian group known for its Lego-style artificial intelligence videos. The ban came after the group, Explosive Media, posted a video last week that satirized United States President Donald Trump and declared ‘Iran won.’<\/p>\n
Explosive Media announced on X last week that YouTube had suspended its account, citing ‘violent content.’ The group questioned the justification for the ban, stating in a Friday post, ‘Seriously! Are our LEGO-style animations actually violent?’ While their YouTube account was affected, other online platforms used by the group appeared to remain active.<\/p>\n
Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, characterized the ban as an attempt to suppress ‘the truth’ regarding what he described as the US-Israel war on Iran. In a Monday post on X, Baghaei remarked, ‘In a land that proudly hosts Pixar, DreamWorks Animation, and The Walt Disney Company, an independent animated YouTube channel \u2013 which had organically grown by depicting U.S. aggression & warmongering, and garnered millions of viewers \u2013 was abruptly shut down!! Why?!’<\/p>\n
He further elaborated, ‘Simply to suppress the truth about their ‘illegal war’ on Iran and shield the American administration\u2019s false narrative from any competing voice.’<\/p>\n
Explosive Media, a collective of pro-Iran creators, identifies itself as independent, though it is widely believed to have ties to the Iranian government. The group has produced numerous meme-style videos featuring Trump, which have accumulated millions of views during the ongoing conflict. One such video, posted on X after the two-week ceasefire agreement on April 7, bore the caption: ‘The way to crush imperialism has been shown to the world. Trump surrendered. IRAN WON.’ It also included the acronym ‘TACO,’ referring to ‘Trump always chickens out.’ Another clip depicted a caricatured Trump with an oversized yellow head and a flaming backside, holding a sign that read: ‘VICTORY! I am a loser.’<\/p>\n
Explosive Media’s videos frequently incorporate elements of US popular culture, often portraying Trump as elderly, isolated, prone to childish outbursts, and seemingly out of touch with reality.<\/p>\n
