Crucial medical supplies were also delivered as part of the aid effort.<\/p>\n<p>The patient, a resident of Britain&#8217;s most remote inhabited overseas territory, had disembarked from the cruise ship <b>MV Hondius<\/b> in mid-April. The MV Hondius had previously been affected by a deadly outbreak of the virus.<\/p>\n<p>Captain George Lacey, who participated in the jump with the Pathfinders Platoon from Colchester Garrison, described the mission as &#8220;a particularly tricky one&#8221; due to <b>high winds<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>The medical team is expected to remain on the island for several days, awaiting the patient&#8217;s recovery.
